When we have a “Career Mindset,” we embrace the idea that work is a journey filled with opportunities for personal and professional growth, continuous learning, meaningful contributions, economic advancement, and long-term fulfillment.
During this course, students will receive tools and engage in experiences to help them develop their Career Mindset. Students will self-assess personal strengths, skills, competencies, and values to empower their professional identity and create sustainable career goals. Drawing on past experiences, education, and transferable skills, as well as on their current training program, students will learn how to demonstrate job-related competencies and create an up-to-date, effective resume. Students will also learn how to identify potential places of employment and actively participate in the stages of the job placement process.
This badge recognizes participants who have successfully completed foundational training in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Social Justice (DEISJ), and Belonging (DEIB) within the Equity Leaders Program. Badge earners have demonstrated the ability to evaluate systemic inequities, understand core DEISJ/DEIB concepts, and advocate for inclusive practices in their workplace. Through interactive learning and real-world case studies, participants explored implicit bias, microaggressions, and structural barriers that impact equity across sectors such as healthcare, education, hospitality, the creative/blue economy, and emerging industries. Badge holders are equipped to serve as informed change agents and equity advocates in their organizations and communities.
This badge is awarded to professionals who have developed and applied inclusive leadership skills through the Equity Leaders Program. Badge earners completed sector-specific training and created a tailored DEISJ or DEIB initiative designed for implementation within their workplace. They have demonstrated a clear understanding of their role as leaders in promoting belonging, equity, and inclusive workplace culture. By collaborating with regional partners and receiving feedback from program stakeholders, badge holders have taken actionable steps toward embedding equity-focused leadership into organizational practices and policies.
